How much does a first boudoir session cost?
Here’s the part most studios make you email for. Your session fee reserves your studio time, your hair and makeup artist, and your fully guided shoot. You choose your images afterward, once you’ve actually seen them.

Ten full-resolution digital images of your choosing, with print and commercial release included. Purchased after your reveal, never before.

Your session can be completely private. Many clients book, choose their images, and never share a single photo publicly. Nothing goes on our website, our social media, or anywhere else without your explicit written permission.
We’re at 629 South State Street in downtown Salt Lake City — 4,500 square feet, 30+ signature sets, never rented by the hour and never shared. During your session, no other photographer and no other client is in the building. Our entrance is in the alleyway between Decades and The Arcade; look for the grey metal door, and park in any open lot at the back. About 20 minutes from the airport, and we regularly photograph clients flying in from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.

Is boudoir okay for beginners?
Yes. Most women who walk into our Salt Lake City studio have never done a photoshoot of any kind. You don’t need modeling experience, posing knowledge, or a plan before you arrive. Our team directs every pose, expression, and angle from the moment your session starts until the last frame.
Is boudoir awkward?
The first five minutes can feel unfamiliar — that’s normal. What changes it is direction. Because you’re told exactly where to put your hands, your chin, your hips, and your breath, there’s no silence to fill and no guessing. Most first-timers tell us they forgot to be nervous somewhere around the second outfit.
Do I have to be naked for boudoir?
No. You choose your coverage, and nothing happens that you haven’t agreed to first. Plenty of first-time sessions are shot entirely in bodysuits, robes, sweaters, denim, or a white sheet — see modest and implied boudoir if that’s where you’d start. Implied nude is available if you want it, but it is never an expectation.
What if I’m not photogenic?
Almost every client says this. Being photogenic isn’t a trait you’re born with — it’s lighting, angles, and direction, and all three are our job, not yours. That’s the difference between a phone selfie and a professionally lit, professionally posed image made in a studio built for it.
Should I lose weight before a boudoir shoot?
No. Waiting for a different body is the single most common reason women postpone this for years, and the body in the photos is always the one you have right now. We pose and light for every size, and our in-studio wardrobe runs XS to 5X for exactly this reason.
How long does a first boudoir session take?
Plan on three to four hours start to finish. That covers settling in, professional hair and makeup, wardrobe changes across multiple sets, your fully guided shoot, and your same-day image reveal where you see your gallery and choose what you want to keep.
How much does a first boudoir session cost?
Your session fee is $399 and reserves your studio time, your hair and makeup artist, and your guided shoot. Images are purchased after you see your gallery: ten full-resolution digital images start at $800, and collections with albums or wall art start at $1,895. See our full pricing breakdown.
Can someone buy a boudoir session for me as a gift?
Yes, and plenty of first sessions happen exactly that way — a partner, a sister or a friend buys it because she’d never book it herself. A gift certificate can cover a $349 mini outright, a $399 full session fee including hair and makeup, or any amount from $100. There’s no expiry date, so you pick your own date and your own sets.
Is hair and makeup included?
Yes, with every full session — professional hair and makeup is part of your $399 session fee. The one exception is the $349 Friday mini session, where clients arrive camera-ready. That’s exactly what keeps the mini at $349.
Is the session fee refundable?
The session fee is non-refundable, because it’s used to reserve your hair and makeup artist for your specific date. Once it’s paid, that date and that artist are held for you and no one else.
What if I can’t pay for everything at once?
We offer Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal Credit, and in-house payment plans. Many first-time clients spread their collection across several months rather than paying in one go. See our payment plans page before you book anything.
Will my images be private?
Yes. Your images are only ever shared with your explicit written permission. Many clients book, choose their images, and never post a single photo publicly. Nothing appears anywhere unless you have signed off on that specific image.
Can I bring a friend?
Just ask us when you book. Some women bring a sister or a best friend for the first hour and send them off before shooting; others prefer to come alone. Either way the studio is private and all-female.
Do you photograph women over 40?
Constantly. Some of our most confident sessions are with women in their forties, fifties, and beyond, and a first boudoir session at that stage often carries far more meaning than one at twenty-five. See boudoir over 40 and boudoir over 50.
