Your session included three looks. Save one, come back after the birth, and use it as an indoor set with your baby — or as a nursing session. Two visits, one session, no additional cost.

Bring a support person for the baby if you're still close-nursing. We build breaks into the day and nobody is watching the clock.

And then you were handed a baby and told to bounce back. A softer middle, a scar across the bottom of your stomach, skin that doesn't sit where it used to, a chest that belongs to someone else right now — none of that is damage. It's the record.
We're not going to photograph you as though the last nine months didn't happen. We're going to photograph what's actually there, well.
Nursing sessions
Breastfeeding photos in the studio
This is one of the most requested versions of a postpartum session, and it's the one women are most nervous to ask for. You don't have to ask — it's on the list.
A nursing session is guided the same way everything else here is. We work around your baby, not the other way round. Feeds happen when they happen, and if the session takes longer because of it, it takes longer.
How covered you are is entirely your call, and it's a decision you make in the room rather than on a form beforehand.
The tub set
Milk bath photos
The clawfoot tub, warm water, and floating flowers. It photographs a postpartum body softly without asking you to pose it, which is why it's often the set women choose when they're not sure they're ready to be in front of a camera at all.
It works on your own or with your baby, and it's the set most likely to end up on a wall.
Timing
When to book a postpartum session
Whenever "ready" turns into "curious" is close enough. Two windows are genuinely time-limited, and they're the only two:
- The first 14 days — the only time you get the sleepy, curled-up newborn frames. After that babies stretch out and the curl is gone for good.
- The first year — if you're using a saved look from a maternity session here, the return visit is used within your baby's first year.
Outside those, there's nothing pressing. Women book this at six weeks and at three years, and neither one is late.

The studio
Where you'll be
629 S State Street, downtown Salt Lake City. A private 4,500 square foot studio with a locked door, an all-female team and no one else in the building during your session. Park in the alleyway behind the building and come to the grey door.
About 20 minutes from Salt Lake City International, and walking distance from downtown hotels. Clients drive in from Utah County, Ogden, Park City and St. George, and fly in from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.

Postpartum boudoir questions
How soon after birth can I do a postpartum session?
Whenever you feel physically comfortable — most providers clear normal activity around six weeks, and a session is well within that. If you had a C-section or a complicated delivery, check with your provider and tell us what they said so we can plan the day around it.
Is it too late if my baby is already a year old?
No. Women book postpartum sessions at six weeks and at three years and neither one is late. If you're using a saved look from a maternity session with us, that return visit is used within the first year — otherwise there's no cutoff at all.
Can I bring my baby to the session?
Yes, and most women do. Bring a support person to hold and settle the baby between frames so you're not trying to do both. We build breaks into the session and nobody is rushing you through a feed.
Can we photograph me breastfeeding?
Yes — it's one of the most requested versions of this session. It's guided the same way everything else is, and how covered you are is decided by you in the room rather than in advance.
I have a C-section scar. Will it be in the photos?
Only if you want it to be. Some women want it in frame because it's the whole point, and some would rather it wasn't. Both are normal answers and you tell us on the day, not before.
My body doesn't look like it did before. Is that a problem?
It's who this session was built for. We light and pose so skin reads soft rather than harsh, and retouching is your call at the reveal — we ask before we change anything about your body.
Do I need to book a maternity session first?
No. You can book postpartum on its own as a full session at $399. If you did shoot maternity with us, you can save one of your three looks and come back with your baby at no additional cost instead.
What does a postpartum session cost?
The session fee is $399 and includes professional hair and makeup. Images are chosen afterward at your same-day reveal — ten digital images start at $800, and collections with albums and wall art begin at $1,895.
What should I wear?
Soft, comfortable and easy to move in — a robe, a slip, simple lingerie, or something fully covered. We also keep a studio closet from XS to 5X including nursing-friendly pieces, so you don't have to buy anything in a size you're not sure of yet.
Is the studio private?
Your session is one-on-one with our all-female team behind a closed door. No walk-ins, no other clients, no audience. The studio is never rented by the hour and never shared.
What if I'm exhausted and can't commit to a date yet?
Book a free consult instead. There's no date required and no pressure — it's a conversation about whether now or later makes more sense, and plenty of women book the session months after the consult.
Who decides what happens to my photos?
You do. Nothing is ever shared or posted without your written permission, and that's a conversation at your reveal rather than something buried in a booking form.
Can someone buy this for me as a gift?

What if I've never done anything like this before?
