Why This Studio Exists

Our founder didn’t see her own body represented anywhere.

“When I decided to go all in, I didn’t see my own body represented anywhere. The message was loud: boudoir wasn’t ‘meant’ for a bigger body. Instead of letting that stop me, I made it my mission.”

— Shanna, founder and lead photographer

This isn’t a service we added to be inclusive. It’s the reason the studio was built. Every set, every light, every piece in the closet was chosen with a full range of bodies in the room.

The Truth About Waiting

“After I lose weight” can quietly become years.

We have photographed over 1,500 women at every size, every stage, and every comfort level. The confidence shift does not come from shrinking. It comes from being seen with care.

You are not too much.

Your curves, softness, stretch marks, scars, belly, thighs, arms, and body story are not disqualifiers.

Posing changes everything.

We guide every angle, hand placement, body line, and expression so you never have to guess what looks good.

Lighting is intentional.

Soft light, shadow, and direction help shape images with elegance and confidence.

Nothing has to fit already.

Our in-studio closet runs XS–5X, so you never have to order, guess, or try anything on at home first.

Privacy is respected.

Your images are only shared with explicit written permission. You can keep everything private.

You are allowed to start now.

This version of you is worthy of being documented, celebrated, and remembered.

How We Pose Curves

You are not expected to know your angles.

Our job is to guide your body into poses that feel supported, intentional, and beautiful on camera.

  • We direct hands, shoulders, chin, hips, legs, and arch
  • We use light and shadow to create shape and mood
  • We adjust outfits so they flatter instead of distract
  • We pose for your body, not against it
  • We show you the back of the camera early, so you stop guessing
  • We help you breathe through the nervous part
Your body is not the problem. The right posing changes the conversation.
The Closet

“Will anything actually fit me?

Yes. Our in-studio closet runs XS through 5X, and it isn’t an afterthought rail in the corner — it’s stocked across the full range, in every style we shoot.

That means nothing has to be ordered, nothing has to be tried on at home in a bad mirror, and nothing has to be returned. You can arrive with nothing and still have five looks waiting.

The Thoughts That Try To Talk You Out Of It

They are common. They are understandable. They do not get to decide for you.

“My arms bother me.”

We use posing, light, wardrobe, and hand placement to create intentional portraits.

“I hate my stomach.”

You do not have to love every part of yourself to be photographed beautifully.

“I have cellulite.”

So do countless women. Texture does not erase beauty, and retouching is always your call.

“I’m not flexible.”

Posing is adjusted for your body, comfort, mobility, and experience. Sit whenever you want.

“I’m scared I won’t like myself.”

That fear is exactly why seeing yourself differently can be so powerful. You see your gallery the same day.

“I’m not confident enough.”

Confidence is not required before the session. It is often what begins during it.

Privacy First

You do not owe anyone access to your images.

Your session can be completely private. Many clients choose their images, create artwork, and never share a single photo publicly.

Images are only posted with explicit written permission. Your body, your story, your boundaries. The studio is 4,500 square feet, entirely private, and never shared — no other photographer and no other client is in the building.

You can have a powerful experience that stays entirely yours.
Investment

You choose what you love after you see your images.

Your session fee reserves the experience. Images and artwork are selected afterward at your same-day private reveal, from a gallery of 200–400 images.

Session Fee

$399. Reserves your studio time, your all-female team, prep support, professional hair and makeup, and a fully guided photoshoot.

Digital Images

From $800 for ten images, chosen from your full gallery at your reveal. Print and commercial release included.

Collections

From $1,895 for albums, wall art and keepsakes. Payment plans through Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal Credit and in-house options.

FAQ

Plus size boudoir questions.

Do I need to lose weight before booking?

No. Your current body is worthy of being photographed beautifully, and it is the one that has carried you through everything so far. We guide posing, styling and lighting for the body you have today.

Will anything in the studio closet actually fit me?

Yes. Our in-studio closet runs XS–5X and is stocked across the full range, not just at the small end. Nothing has to be ordered or tried on at home first.

Do you actually photograph plus size clients regularly?

Constantly. Over 1,500 women have been photographed here at every size and stage. Our founder built this studio specifically because she didn’t see her own body represented in boudoir anywhere.

Will you help me pose?

Every second of it. We direct hands, chin, legs, hips, posture, expression and movement, and we show you the back of the camera early so you can see it working.

What should I wear?

Bodysuits, robes, sheets, button-down shirts, structured lingerie, sweaters and personal pieces all photograph beautifully. Borrow from the closet, bring your own, or mix both.

Will my images stay private?

Yes. Nothing is shared, posted or submitted anywhere without your explicit written permission, and plenty of clients keep their galleries entirely private.

Who will be in the room?

Only your Blushed team, and we are 100% all-female. The studio is private and never shared — no other photographer and no other client is in the building during your session.

How much does it cost?

The session fee is $399 and reserves your date, your team and your hair and makeup. Images are chosen afterward — ten digital images from $800, artwork collections from $1,895. More on pricing here.

How many images will I get to choose from?

Between 200 and 400 — everything we shot that day, minus blurry frames and duplicates. You see the whole gallery the same day as your session.

Will you retouch my body?

Only as much as you want. We ask before changing anything about your body, and plenty of clients ask us to leave stretch marks, scars and texture exactly as they are.

How long is a session?

Plan on about 3–4 hours from arrival to your image reveal, including professional hair and makeup, wardrobe planning, and a fully guided shoot with up to three looks. Sit down whenever you need to.

Is there a smaller way to try this first?

Yes — our $349 mini session runs 30 minutes with one set and one look, and five finished images are included, so you know your total before you book.

Do you photograph clients who fly in?

Regularly — from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona and across the country. We’re about 20 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Can I call before booking?

Please do. Call or text anytime at (801) 797-3156, or book a free consult.
