If you can fill a room, host instead
A workshop at your studio is the same $5,000 and the same three days of travel — except six to eight photographers buy seats and you keep every ticket.
If you know enough local photographers to fill a room, that's the better deal and it isn't close.

Mentorship or workshop?
Same studio, same teacher, two different days. This is the honest split — and the workshop is the cheaper of the two.

Pricing and the sale

Set design
Thirty-plus built sets walked and explained — or, if I'm at your studio, your own corners planned and restyled with you.

Your site opened on the screen and gone through page by page, against the photographers currently outranking you in your city.

The homework is the reason it works
Two weeks out you send three things: your website, your current pricing, and twenty images you're not happy with.
All three get gone through before the day. That's why it starts with answers instead of an hour of getting to know your business — and it's the part a group workshop structurally cannot do.
There's a short call the week before too, so nothing about the day is a surprise.

How a mentorship day runs
Morning — the business half
Your website, your pricing and your images on the screen. This happens first, while you're fresh, because it's usually where the real problem is.
Midday — shooting with a model
You shoot the sets you chose, with direction while you work rather than notes afterwards.
Afternoon — the reveal and the edit
We edit what you shot, then run a mock reveal appointment so you've seen how the sale actually sounds out loud.
Thirty days after
Email whenever you get stuck for a month. This is where most of the change actually happens — the day is the start of it.

Traveling in
The studio is at 629 S State Street in downtown Salt Lake City, about twenty minutes from the airport, entry through the alleyway grey door.
Photographers come in from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona. Fly in the night before — hotels sit a few minutes away and the day starts early. Book your flights once the date is confirmed in writing, never before.

Boudoir photography mentorship FAQ
I'm buying without knowing the date. How does that work?
You book the day, then your confirmation email asks which months work for you. I reply within two business days with dates, and nothing is locked until you've confirmed one in writing.
What if no date works for either of us?
It hasn't happened yet, but if we genuinely can't find a day within twelve months, you get a full refund. You're never stuck holding something you can't use.
How long do I have to use it?
Twelve months from purchase. Days are held for you rather than sold to someone else, which is why there's a limit.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, any time before a date is confirmed. Once a date is set, the date can be moved once at no charge with 14 days' notice; inside 14 days it isn't refundable.
Can I split the payment?
Yes, in half at checkout on all three options. On a day at your studio the balance is due thirty days before, and travel is invoiced separately at sixty days.
What's included if you come to my studio?
A full day in your space — your sets walked, planned and restyled, your business reviewed, and shooting if you want it. You arrange the model and hair and makeup locally, since I can't bring mine. Everything else is the same.
Why is a day at my studio $5,000?
Because it's three days, not one — travel out, the day itself, travel back. It's the same fee as hosting a workshop for exactly that reason.
Should I book that, or host a workshop instead?
If you can fill a room with six to eight local photographers, host — same fee, same three days, except you sell seats and keep all of it. Book the private day if you'd rather not run an event, or if what's broken is specific to your business and you don't want an audience for it.
How is a day at my studio different from the set design day?
The set design day is about building sets — layout, sourcing, styling, and one set finished by the end. A mentorship day is the whole business, with your sets as part of it rather than the point of it.
How is travel charged?
At cost — flights, hotel and ground transport — quoted and agreed before you commit, then invoiced sixty days out. Sixty rather than thirty because flights bought inside a month cost roughly double, and that's your money.
Why does the private day cost more than the workshop?
Because six people split the cost of a workshop and you don't. A mentorship day is the whole studio, a model, an artist and my full attention on one business — and the prep happens before you arrive.
Do I need to already shoot boudoir?
It helps. The mentorship assumes you have a business to fix — sessions booked, prices set, a site live. If you're starting from nothing, the workshop is the better first day.
Is a model included?
At the Salt Lake City studio, yes — one model with professional hair and makeup. At your studio you arrange that locally, or we use a real client session if you'd rather.
Can I use the images afterwards?
Yes, under the release your model signs. At the Salt Lake City studio that's handled for you.
Can two of us come together?
Yes, $2,497 total at the Salt Lake City studio. Text to arrange it rather than buying two — two is the limit, and past that it stops being a mentorship.
Which days of the week do these run?
Midweek. Weekends belong to client sessions, yours and mine, and a Tuesday is the day you can actually take off.
Will you mentor a photographer in my city?
Yes. No protected territory. Boudoir is a local business and your clients were never going to fly to Utah.
