The drive isn't the problem. Running into someone is.
Utah County is small in the way that matters. You can be perfectly at peace with your own decision and still not want to park outside a studio on Center Street where somebody's mother might walk past.
That's the honest reason women drive to us, and we'd rather name it than pretend it isn't there. Our studio sits at 629 S State Street in downtown Salt Lake City — an unmarked grey door off the alleyway, no signage, no waiting room shared with anyone. You park, you walk in, and for the next few hours the entire 4,500 square feet belongs to you and the women working with you. There is no other photographer, no other client, no one else in the building.
Forty-five minutes on I-15 buys you a morning where nobody knows your name unless you say it. That's not a downside of coming to Salt Lake. That's most of the reason to.
You Choose The Line
Covered, classic, or bold — all of it is boudoir.
The most common question we get from Utah County is some version of "do I have to be in lingerie?" You don't. Pick a lane before you arrive and we build the whole session around it.
Covered and still stunning
An oversized button-down and nothing else showing. A knit sweater off one shoulder. Jeans and a white tee. Silk robes, bodysuits, a sheet. Shoulders, collarbones, the line of your back — implied rather than shown. Plenty of women shoot an entire session here and never once feel exposed.
Lingerie, styled well
Structured sets, lace, garters, a corset that does half the work for you. Borrowed from our closet in sizes XS–5X, so you don't spend $200 on something before you know how you feel about it. This is where most sessions land.
As far as you want to go
Sheer, artistic nude, silhouette, or a set built around a room like the Bordello or the Red Room. Nothing here happens by drift — you say it out loud first, and you can stop at any moment without explaining yourself.
What The Day Actually Feels Like
You'll stop thinking about your arms around the second set.
You'll get here nervous. Nearly everyone does. Then someone hands you coffee, does your hair and makeup, and spends twenty minutes talking about wardrobe with you before a camera ever comes out.
By the second room you've forgotten to hold your stomach in. There's music on, a fan going, and someone across from you calling out the next tiny adjustment — chin down, weight back, breathe out. Nothing about it requires you to already know how to do this.
Then you sit down at your reveal the same day, the first frame comes up, and there's a pause. Most women cry a little here. Almost all of them say the same sentence in the parking garage afterward — "I almost didn't come." The drive home down I-15 is a different drive than the one up.

Hair and makeup
Professional hair and makeup by our team, included with every full session. You arrive as you are and leave two hours later not recognizing yourself in the best way.
The closet, XS–5X
Lingerie, robes, bodysuits, shoes, body chains, angel wings, gold body foil and neon body paint. Borrow instead of buying. Bring your own pieces too if you want them in the gallery.
Guided posing, head to toe
Every pose is demonstrated first. Hands, chin, weight, breath. You are never left standing in a room wondering what to do with your arms.
30+ sets under one roof
The Rain Room, the Red Room, the Bordello, the Bath House, dark academia, the Speakeasy, and more. Most sessions use three to five, so one gallery holds several completely different moods.
200–400 images shot
You'll review the whole gallery, choose up to 150 for full professional retouching, and receive every image soft-edited. Most Utah studios deliver 50–80 total.
A same-day reveal
No waiting three weeks to find out how it went. You see your images the day you shoot them, with your team in the room.

The session fee reserves your studio time and covers hair, makeup, styling and posing. Images and artwork are chosen afterward, once you've seen them — never before.

Getting Here From Utah County
629 S State Street, downtown Salt Lake City.
From Provo it's I-15 north to the 600 South exit, roughly forty-five minutes without traffic. Orem and Lindon are a few minutes closer; American Fork, Lehi and Saratoga Springs are about thirty-five. Park in the lot, walk down the alleyway, and look for the unmarked grey door — there's no sign on the building, which is deliberate.
Most Utah County clients book a mid-morning start so they're home well before school pickup. If you'd rather make a day of it, downtown hotels and restaurants are within walking distance.
Utah County Questions
The ones we're actually asked.
Is there a boudoir studio in Provo, or do I have to drive to Salt Lake?
There are photographers working in Utah County, but Blushed is a dedicated 4,500 square foot studio with more than thirty built sets, and it's in downtown Salt Lake City. Provo to our door is about forty-five minutes on I-15. Most of our Utah County clients tell us the distance is a feature rather than a cost.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
No. A large share of our sessions are shot in sweaters, jeans, button-down shirts, robes and bodysuits, with nothing more revealed than shoulders and collarbones. Tell us your comfort line at your consult and we plan the entire session around it.
Will anyone I know see these photos?
Only if you sign a release saying so, and declining costs you nothing. We don't post, share or show client images without written permission. A meaningful number of our galleries are never seen by anyone but the client.
Will there be men in the building?
No. The team is 100% all-female, and your session is the only one booked during your window. There is no shared waiting area and nobody else on site.
I've never done anything like this. Do I need to know how to pose?
No, and almost nobody does. Every pose is demonstrated for you first and adjusted in small steps as we go. First-timers are the majority of who we photograph.
What if I want to lose weight first?
We hear this weekly and our answer hasn't changed: the session is built for the body you have today. We've photographed sizes XS through 5X, and posing and lighting are chosen for you specifically. Waiting is the most common regret we hear.
How long does the whole thing take?
Plan on four to five hours from arrival to reveal. Hair and makeup runs about ninety minutes, shooting takes two to three, and your same-day reveal follows. Utah County clients often start mid-morning and are back down south by late afternoon.
How far ahead should I book?
Six to eight weeks before any date that matters — a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday — so there's room to plan and enjoy the reveal without rushing. Friday minis and seasonal sets go faster than that.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, and Utah County clients often do — it makes the drive easier. She's welcome in the lounge, and plenty of pairs book back-to-back sessions and make a day of it.
What if I get here and freeze?
Then we slow down. We start with the most covered look on your list, keep talking, and let you build up to whatever you had planned. Nothing has to happen in the order it was written, and stopping early is always an option.
