Your maternity session includes three looks. Most mothers shoot all three on the day. But you can shoot two now and save the third for after the baby arrives — and come back for an indoor lifestyle set with your newborn instead.

Come back once the baby is here and use your third look as an indoor lifestyle set with them. Same session, no extra cost, two visits.
Book it within your baby's first year. If you want the sleepy, curled-up newborn frames, aim for the first 14 days — that squish does not last.

Plenty of mothers shoot all three the same day and book their baby's session separately. Entirely your call, and you don't have to decide when you book.
The first two weeks, if you want newborn
Those cuddly, curled-up, still-folded-up frames only exist for about a fortnight. If that's the image in your head, tell us when you book and we'll hold time for you in the first 14 days — babies do not check calendars, so we keep it loose.

Plenty of mothers use their third look for nursing images instead. Quiet, warm, and photographed with the same care as everything else — it's one of the most-requested versions of the return visit.
Nothing extra to pay. The third look is already part of your session — you're just choosing when it happens and who is in it. Use it any time within your baby's first year.
The Honest Part
What mothers say before they book.
Every one of these has been said to us, out loud, by someone who went on to love her photos.
"I have stretch marks."
So do most of the women in our maternity gallery. We light and pose so skin reads soft rather than harsh, and retouching is your call at the reveal — we ask before changing anything about your body.
"I'm swollen and exhausted."
Sit whenever you like. Water, snacks and a dirty-soda bar run the whole time. Nobody is watching a clock.
"I have no idea how to pose."
You've never needed to. We direct every angle, hand, chin and breath — and we show you the back of the camera early so you stop guessing how it's going.
"I'm not really the boudoir type."
Then don't shoot boudoir. We keep traditional maternity gowns in the studio, and plenty of sessions never leave sheets, robes and oversized button-downs. Covered, implied or bare — you set that line before we start.
"What if I hate the photos?"
You see your gallery the same day and choose afterward. Nothing is decided in advance and nothing is bought sight-unseen.

Best Timing
When to book maternity photography, week by week.
We photograph every week of pregnancy — there is no window you've missed. The right one depends on your bump, your energy and how you're feeling. Here's how each shoots.
Half Baked. Our pink 1950s kitchen, a bun in the oven, and the most energy you'll have all pregnancy. A smaller bump, and one of our favourite sessions to shoot — mothers arrive genuinely playful at this stage rather than tired.
Bump is visible but soft, and energy is still high. A good choice if you're high-risk, expecting multiples, or want a subtler shape.
Rounded and unmistakable, and you're still very mobile. Standing, floor and tub posing are all comfortable here.
The window most mothers choose. The bump is at its most defined while comfort, movement and stamina are still on your side.
Beautifully full. We shorten the session, add more seated and supported posing, and build in extra breaks.
Absolutely possible — call first so we can plan a shorter, gentler session around how you're feeling. Twins and multiples usually shoot closer to 26–30 weeks.
Half Baked, At 20 Weeks
Shot in our pink retro kitchen with the bun-in-the-oven concept. It only works while the bump is still small, so it's the one session that's genuinely easier earlier — and mothers have far more energy for it at 20 weeks than at 32.

Still worth calling. We've photographed mothers at 38 weeks. It becomes a shorter, gentler session — but it absolutely still happens.
What To Wear
Nothing has to fit.
That's the part most mothers don't expect. Sheets and open robes are the single most-photographed maternity look we shoot, and neither one has a size.
We keep traditional maternity gowns in the studio too. Flowing, full-length, the classic maternity portrait — take one of your looks in a gown and another in boudoir, or stay in gowns the whole way through. Both are here and both are included.

We don't sell packages before you've seen a photo. The session fee reserves the day. Everything else is chosen at your same-day reveal.

One thing to know
This is the only session we run with a body clock attached. Unlike every other gift certificate we sell, this one wants using reasonably soon — give it early in the pregnancy so she has room to pick a week that suits her, rather than late enough that the choice makes itself.

When should I book maternity boudoir?
We photograph every week of pregnancy, so there is no window you've missed. Most mothers shoot between 28 and 32 weeks. Around 20 weeks is its own thing — our Half Baked session in the pink kitchen, when energy is highest and the bump is still small. Because we recommend reserving 6–8 weeks ahead, most mothers book early in the second trimester.
What is the Half Baked maternity session?
A maternity session in our pink 1950s kitchen built around the bun-in-the-oven idea, usually shot around 20 weeks. It only works while the bump is still small, and mothers arrive with far more energy at that stage than they will at 32 weeks. Ask us about it when you book.
Can I come back with the baby?
Yes. Your session includes three looks, and you can save one for after the birth and use it as an indoor lifestyle set with your baby instead. Two visits, one session, no additional cost. Use it any time within your baby's first year. If you want the sleepy newborn frames specifically, the first 14 days is the window — after that they stretch out and the curled-up look is gone.
Can the return session be a breastfeeding session?
Yes, and it's one of the most requested versions of it. Nursing images photograph beautifully and are handled with the same privacy as everything else here. Use your third look for it whenever it suits you in the first year.
Do I have to shoot boudoir? Can I do traditional maternity photos?
You don't. We keep traditional maternity gowns in the studio for classic full-length portraits, and plenty of sessions never leave gowns, sheets and robes. Mix a gown look with a boudoir look if you want both — it's the same session either way.
How long is a maternity session?
Plan on about 3–4 hours from arrival to your image reveal. That covers professional hair and makeup, wardrobe planning, and a fully guided shoot with up to three looks. It is never rushed, and you can sit down whenever you need to.
Is maternity boudoir safe during pregnancy?
We use gentle, comfort-focused posing, limit time flat on your back, and adapt everything to your body on the day. If you have restrictions or medical concerns, check with your provider before booking — and tell us what they said so we can plan around it.
What if I go into labour or get put on bed rest before my session?
Call the moment you know. Session fees are non-refundable because they reserve your hair and makeup artist for that date, but we will always work with you on moving to a new date or shifting to a postpartum session instead. Nobody loses their session over a pregnancy doing what pregnancies do.
How much does maternity boudoir cost in Utah?
The session fee is $399 and reserves your date, your team, and professional hair and makeup. Images are chosen afterward at your same-day reveal — digital images start at $800 for ten, and collections with albums and wall art begin at $1,895. More on boudoir pricing here.
Can someone give this to me as a gift?
Yes, and partners and grandparents-to-be do it often. A $399 gift certificate covers the full session fee with hair and makeup. Because this session has a real window, it's worth giving early in the pregnancy rather than late.
Are any images included with the session fee?
No — and we say that plainly so nothing surprises you later. The session fee covers the experience. You'll view a gallery of 200–400 images the same day and choose the ones you actually love, rather than paying in advance for images you haven't seen.
Is hair and makeup included?
Yes. Professional hair and makeup by our in-house team is included with every full session, so you arrive as you are and leave camera-ready.
What should I wear, and what if nothing fits?
Open robes, soft bodysuits, sheets, oversized button-downs, maternity gowns and flowing fabric all photograph beautifully — and none of it has to fit properly. Our studio closet runs XS–5X. Send your due date and we'll pull pieces sized for the week you'll actually be here.
Do I have to be nude?
No. You choose your comfort level before we start and we don't push past it. Many maternity sessions stay entirely in gowns, sheets, robes and lingerie.
Can my partner be in some of the photos?
Yes — many mothers add partner images. Let us know when you book so we can plan the time and the wardrobe. If you want the whole session to be the two of you, look at couples boudoir instead.
Do I need to know how to pose?
No. We fully guide posing, hand placement, expression, angles and movement. Most clients tell us this was the part they dreaded and it turned out to be the easiest.
Will my images stay private?
Yes. Nothing is shared, posted or submitted anywhere without your written permission, and many clients keep their galleries completely private.
