SEO audit for photographers
Your whole site read page by page against whoever is currently outranking you, and a 90-day plan you can run yourself. $697 once. No retainer, no contract, nothing to cancel.
Been burned by an agency before? So have I. You'll get a list of what to do, in order — not a forty-page PDF of red and green scores that nobody can act on.

Why this exists
Why photographers keep getting burned by SEO
The usual version: you pay several hundred a month, you get a report full of charts, and a year later you still can't name a single search you rank for.
Two things go wrong. The agency doesn't understand what a photography client actually types into Google — so they chase the wrong words. And nobody ever tells you what to do, because the work is priced to continue rather than to finish.
This is the opposite deal. One fee, one document, one ordered list, and you're free. If you want help executing it afterwards, that's a separate conversation and you're allowed to say no.
Every page, against your real competitors
Which pages are fighting each other
The most common problem on photography sites. Six pages all chasing one term means none of them wins. Every page gets one term to own and the overlaps get resolved.
What your city actually searches
A keyword map built from what people in your market type, not what sounds nice in a headline — plus the long-tail questions your competitors have left wide open.
Your Google Business Profile
For a local photographer the map pack often matters more than the website. Categories, services, photos, review velocity and what's stopping you from showing in the top three.
The technical basics
Titles and descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, schema markup, mobile speed, indexing errors and dead links. Unglamorous and usually where the quick wins are.
Who's beating you and why
The three photographers ranking above you, pulled apart page by page — what they have that you don't, and which of it is worth copying.
Whether AI can find you
People ask ChatGPT and Google's AI answers for a photographer now. Those pull from different signals than blue links, and most photography sites give them nothing to quote.
What you get
A plan in three thirty-day blocks
The findings are the easy part. The value is the order — because doing the right five things in the right sequence beats doing thirty things at once.
- Days 1–30: the fixes that move fastest, usually titles, the map pack and whichever pages are cannibalising each other
- Days 31–60: the pages that need rewriting or building, in priority order with their target terms
- Days 61–90: content and links — what to blog, in what order, and what to stop wasting time on
- A written document you keep, not a call you have to remember
- A 30-minute walkthrough call so you understand the why
- Two weeks of follow-up questions while you start
How it works
What happens after you pay
01 · You grant access
Your confirmation email asks for read-only access to Google Search Console, Analytics and your Business Profile, with instructions for each. You never hand over a password.
02 · Ten days
The clock starts when access lands, not when you pay. Then the written audit and the 90-day plan arrive by email.
03 · The walkthrough
Thirty minutes on video going through it, so you understand the reasoning rather than just the list.
04 · Two weeks of questions
Email whenever you get stuck while you work through it. Then it ends — there's no renewal and nothing to cancel.
Investment
$697 once
$697Paid up front, delivered in about ten days. Roughly what one month of an agency retainer costs, and it ends with you knowing what to do instead of waiting for next month's report.
Custom Photography Website Design
$3,500Sometimes the audit's honest answer is that the site can't be fixed page by page. If that's yours, the $697 comes off the rebuild — you don't pay twice for the same analysis.

Questions
Photography SEO audit FAQ
How long until I see results?
Technical fixes and Google Business Profile changes can move within weeks. Content and rankings take months. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling you something.
When does the ten days start?
When you grant access, not when you pay. If access takes you a week to sort out, the clock hasn't been running — and you'll get a nudge if it's been a few days.
Do you do the work, or do I?
You do, and that's the point of the price. The document is written so you can hand it to a VA or work through it yourself. If you'd rather it be done for you, that's the website build instead.
What do I need to give you access to?
Google Search Console, Google Analytics and your Google Business Profile as a viewer, plus your website. Read-only access is enough — you never hand over passwords.
What if I'm not on Squarespace?
Fine. The audit is platform-agnostic — Showit, WordPress, Pixieset and Squarespace all get read the same way. Only the website build is Squarespace-specific.
Can you guarantee I'll rank?
No, and neither can anyone else. What's guaranteed is that you'll know exactly what's wrong, what to fix and in what order.
I already pay an agency. Is this a conflict?
No. Several photographers use an audit precisely to work out whether their agency is earning its fee. You'll get an honest read either way.
Is this only for boudoir photographers?
No. Wedding, portrait, family and branding photographers all have the same structural problems. The competitor analysis is built for your niche and city.
What if my site is brand new?
Wait. With no traffic history there's nothing to diagnose. Six months of data makes the audit far more useful — and in the meantime the free checklist covers the basics.
Can I get a refund?
Before access is granted and work begins, yes, in full. Once the audit is underway it isn't refundable, since the work is the product.
Will you audit a photographer in my city?
Yes. No protected territory. Your clients were never choosing between you and a studio in Utah.
What happens after the 90 days?
Nothing, unless you want it to. There's no renewal. Some photographers book a second audit a year later to measure what changed — most don't need to.
