Do I have to be confident to do a boudoir session?

No. Most women arrive nervous, and several arrive shaking. Every pose is demonstrated and guided, so there is nothing you need to know in advance. The confidence is what you leave with, not what you bring.

Am I too big, too old, or not photogenic enough for boudoir?

No. We have photographed more than 1,500 women, sizes XS through 5X and ages 18 to 70-plus. Posing and lighting do most of the work, and we choose both for your body specifically.

Will anyone see my boudoir photos?

Only if you say so in writing. Nothing is posted, shared, or shown without a signed release, and declining costs you nothing.

How much does a boudoir session cost in Utah?

The session fee is $399 for women's, maternity and bridal, or $449 for couples, and it covers your studio time and professional hair and makeup. Images are chosen afterward — ten digital images start at $800, and collections begin at $1,895. Payment plans are available through Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal Credit and in-house options.

Do I have to wear lingerie for boudoir?

Not at all. Sweaters, jeans, button-down shirts, robes, bodysuits and fully-covered looks are all common. Our studio closet runs XS through 5X, so you can borrow rather than buy.

Is it worth driving to Salt Lake City from out of state for boudoir?

Women come to us regularly from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona. We are at 629 S State Street in downtown Salt Lake City, about fifteen minutes from the airport, with hotels and dining within walking distance.

What is the Emerald Hour set?

A green-witch themed boudoir shoot in emerald, black and brass — you choose your room and whether you lean witch or vampire. At Blushed Boudoir in Salt Lake City it runs as a $349 mini session on Friday Aug 14 and Friday Sept 11: thirty guided minutes, one outfit, five finished images of your choice.

Emerald Hour is the most flexible set of the season, because it can be shot three ways — you decide when you book:

The green Rain Room. Falling water lit in emerald neon, cinematic and a little otherworldly — the most dramatic of the three.
The Study. Dark-academia energy: green velvet, a brass banker’s lamp, old books and warm shadow. Fully-clothed-friendly, and a favourite for first-timers.
The vampire angle. Same emerald palette pushed darker and more gothic, if you want teeth with your green.

What to wear

Emerald and black. Green velvet, black lace, or the two together. Jewel tones photograph beautifully under the neon.
Texture and drape. Velvet, satin and sheer layers catch the coloured light — matte flat fabrics do less.
Gold, not silver. Brass and gold jewellery sit into this palette; cool silver fights it.
Bring green if you’ve got it — and if you want to go full green-skin, that’s yours to do before you arrive.
