The most common question we hear in Utah isn’t about posing or price. It’s quieter than that: can I do boudoir and still feel like myself? If you want something beautiful without showing more than you’re comfortable with, the honest answer is yes — and it’s more common than you think.
Short answer: yes. A modest or implied boudoir session keeps you fully covered or suggests rather than shows — think a sheer robe, a partner’s shirt, a sheet, or lingerie you’d wear anyway. You control the coverage on a soft-to-bold scale, and it’s all photographed in a private, all-female studio.
What “modest” and “implied” actually mean
Modest simply means more covered: a slip dress, a bodysuit, an oversized button-down, soft knitwear, a wrap. Implied means the pose or fabric suggests skin without actually showing it — a sheet held close, a back turned, a shoulder. Both produce images that feel intimate and confident without anything you’d be uncomfortable printing.
The comfort scale — you choose
Every session runs on a simple scale, and you pick where you land before we shoot:
Soft
Fully covered — robes, dresses, knitwear, a partner’s shirt. Romantic and completely modest.
Classic
Traditional lingerie, the coverage most people picture when they think boudoir.
Bold
As daring as you want — and you can move up or down at any point in the session.

What to wear for a modest session

Is the studio private?
Yes. Sessions are in a private, downtown Salt Lake City studio with an all-female team, and images are only ever shared with your written permission.
Do I have to show a lot of skin?
No. You control the coverage completely and can stay fully covered the entire session if you prefer.
