Sand Dunes Boudoir

Rolling golden dunes, warm raking light, and the long shadows you only get in the last hour before sunset — sand dunes boudoir is one of the most cinematic outdoor sessions we shoot, and one more reason women travel to Utah.

Short answer: sand dunes boudoir is an outdoor, golden-hour session shot on the dunes at Little Sahara, Utah — part of our small-group Booty Bus adventure day. Warm light, warm wind, bare feet, and images that look like an editorial. Dune dates are seasonal and limited.

Why the dunes work so beautifully

At golden hour the low sun rakes across the sand and turns everything warm and dimensional. The light does the heavy lifting — the result feels editorial, like a fashion campaign, except it’s you. It’s a completely different energy from the studio: open sky, warm wind, and nowhere to be but in the moment.

What to wear

Earth tones, warm neutrals and flowing fabric move beautifully in the wind, and a bold contrast — crisp white or deep red — stands out against the sand. Bare feet and wind-swept movement look incredible out here. Bring what makes you feel free rather than fussy.

A true adventure

This is part of our Booty Bus experience — a guided, small-group day out to the dunes. Women drive in from Idaho Falls and Jackson Hole for it, and no experience is needed; we direct every frame, exactly like we do in the studio.

Plan ahead

Like all our outdoor sessions, dune dates are seasonal and limited by the light and the weather window — so book early to catch it. See the sand dunes gallery for what golden hour on the dunes actually looks like, and if it’s your first time in front of the camera, start here.
