Do I have to be confident to do a boudoir session?

No. Most women arrive nervous, and several arrive shaking. Every pose is demonstrated and guided, so there is nothing you need to know in advance. The confidence is what you leave with, not what you bring.

Am I too big, too old, or not photogenic enough for boudoir?

No. We have photographed more than 1,500 women, sizes XS through 5X and ages 18 to 70-plus. Posing and lighting do most of the work, and we choose both for your body specifically.

Will anyone see my boudoir photos?

Only if you say so in writing. Nothing is posted, shared, or shown without a signed release, and declining costs you nothing.

How much does a boudoir session cost in Utah?

The session fee is $399 for women's, maternity and bridal, or $449 for couples, and it covers your studio time and professional hair and makeup. Images are chosen afterward — ten digital images start at $800, and collections begin at $1,895. Payment plans are available through Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal Credit and in-house options.

Is it worth driving to Salt Lake City from out of state for boudoir?

Women come to us regularly from Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona. We are at 629 S State Street in downtown Salt Lake City, about fifteen minutes from the airport, with hotels and dining within walking distance.

“What do I wear?” is the question that stalls more bookings than price ever does. The good news: there’s no single right answer — just the look that feels most like you. Here are boudoir outfit ideas sorted by the vibe you’re after, plus the two rules that matter more than any single piece.

Short answer: choose outfits around one vibe — soft and romantic (robes, slips, knits), classic (lingerie sets, bodysuits), or bold (leather, harnesses, sheer). Bring what makes you feel wonderful, choose fit over size, and lean on our studio closet, which runs XS–5X.

Two rules first

Fit beats size, always. A piece that fits beautifully two sizes up photographs better than something tight in your usual number. If you’re between sizes, size up. And bring what you feel wonderful in — the piece you love always outshoots the piece you think you’re “supposed” to wear.

Soft & romantic

Open robes, silk slips, a chunky knit off one shoulder, sheer layers, pastels and creams. Gentle, feminine, and the easiest place to start.

Classic

A well-fitting lingerie set, a bodysuit, a bralette-and-brief in a colour you love. The look most people picture, and it never dates.

Bold

Leather, a harness, sheer panels, thigh-highs, a sharp blazer over nothing. High-contrast and editorial — the most dramatic frames we shoot.

Bridal & personal

White, ivory and lace for a bridal feel; or something meaningful — his shirt, a jersey, a family heirloom. Personal always photographs.

Colours & fabrics that photograph well

Textured fabrics read beautifully — lace, satin, silk, knit and anything with drape. Jewel tones, black and white all photograph wonderfully; choose the tones you already know suit you, and skip stiff waistbands or big logos, which pull the eye.

How many pieces to bring

For a full session, two to three looks is plenty — enough variety without eating your shooting time deciding. For a mini, it’s one look, chosen for your set. And you never have to wear lingerie: robes, slips, bodysuits and an oversized shirt make beautiful, covered images too.
