Boudoir photography courses & training for photographers
Learn the parts nobody teaches: the lighting, the sets, the website and the search traffic that actually fill a boudoir calendar. Self-paced from $97, one-on-one from $497, in person at a 4,500 sq ft studio from $1,497.
Worried it's another recycled masterclass? Every course here comes out of a working studio that has photographed 1,500+ women since 2011 — not a course built to be sold.

Three ways to learn
Pick the one that matches what you're short on — time, skill, or traffic.
Self-paced
Short, specific courses you can finish in a weekend and use on Monday. No forty-hour curriculum you'll never open.
In person
You come to Salt Lake City, or I come to you. Live models, real sets, hair and makeup on set, and you leave with portfolio images.
Done for you
You don't want to learn SEO or Squarespace. You want the website built and the search traffic turned on. I build it.
Option 01
Self-paced courses
Photography Studio Set Design · The Course
$197 · first 25 students $97Eight lessons on how thirty sets got built — the reframe, the light, the sourcing, the styling and what each set earns back. Written with photographs from the studio, including the ones nobody publishes.
The founding price is for the first 25 students, in exchange for feedback. After that it's $197 permanently.
More self-paced courses are in production — SEO for photographers, website design, and boudoir lighting. Text COURSES to hear when each one opens.

You can't learn set design in a rented Airbnb
Most boudoir workshops rent a hotel suite for the weekend. You learn one window and one bed, then you go home to a space that looks nothing like it.
This is 4,500 square feet with more than thirty built sets — a clawfoot tub, a rain room, an all-red bedroom, a Victorian bedchamber, a poker lounge. You shoot in several of them in one day, and you see how a set is designed, lit and turned around.
And you see the unglamorous half: the wardrobe closet from XS to 5X, the pricing, the reveal, the part where a woman decides to spend money.

Questions
Boudoir photography training FAQ
Do I need to shoot boudoir already?
No. Several of these are for portrait and wedding photographers adding boudoir. What you do need is comfort with your camera in manual mode — the workshops teach light, posing and business, not exposure basics.
Do I get to shoot at the workshop, or just watch?
You shoot. Six seats, two models and four sets means everyone is behind the camera most of the day. Demonstrations are short and then it's your turn.
Can I use the images in my portfolio?
Yes. Models are contracted with a release for workshop attendees, so anything you shoot that day can go on your site and social.
Is hair and makeup included for the models?
Yes. A professional artist works on set both for the models and so you can see how HMU timing fits into a real session day.
What if I can't travel to Salt Lake City?
Three options need no travel at all — the self-paced course, the $697 Zoom set design consult and the $497 Zoom mentorship. The host-a-workshop option brings the workshop to your studio instead.
What's the founding price on the course?
The first 25 students pay $97 instead of $197, in exchange for feedback on the lessons. Once those 25 are taken the price is $197 permanently.
How long does the set design course take?
Eight lessons, built to finish over a weekend and be used the following week. It's short on purpose — long courses don't get finished.
When are the other courses coming?
SEO for photographers, website design and boudoir lighting are in production. Text COURSES and you'll hear when each one opens rather than being added to a general list.
Will you teach photographers in my city?
Yes. This isn't a protected territory. Boudoir is local, your clients aren't going to fly to Utah, and the market is nowhere near saturated.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, on the workshop, mentorship and the website build. Text and ask — plans are set up individually.
What's your refund policy on in-person dates?
Seats are transferable to another date or another photographer up to 30 days out. Inside 30 days the seat is filled first and then refunded if it sells.
Where exactly is the studio?
629 S State Street in downtown Salt Lake City, about 20 minutes from the airport. Entry is through the alleyway grey door.
